An uplifting new musical about a desperate young woman, a smooth-talking swan, and one transformative night out in Edinburgh.
When you’ve lost all hope, can one night with an unlikely companion remind you what it means to be alive? And can you choose to stay, just one more day?
Join two strangers on an extraordinary flight across starlit city skies and pulsing basement bars in this wild and soulful new musical featuring original songs inspired by late-night piano joints and last-chance saloons.
Created by Eve Nicol and Finn Anderson from a radio play by David Greig, The Swansong is an unforgettable story about learning what it takes to stay alive.
Original development supported by Capital Theatres and Pitlochry Festival Theatre, presented as part of the Musicals Commissioning Hub, and selected for presentation at BEAM2025.
We are delighted to present yet another great collaboration with Glasgow’s Òran Mór’s ground-breaking lunchtime theatre programme A Play, a Pie and a Pint. Join us for lunchtime or teatime for one of the very latest productions on transfer over to the Gaiety Theatre studio.
