A rip-roaring night of the very best live stand-up comedy starring the TV names you know and love alongside some of the hottest up-and-coming talent. Presented by Scotland’s original home of live comedy Gilded Balloon, this is the ultimate night out for comedy fans!

Following appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, Alma’s Not Normal and many more, the incomparable Jayde Adams headlines the show. Joining her for a the very best night of comedy Taskmaster contestant and host of Live at the Apollo Desiree Burch are joined by Scotland’s comedy stalwart Raymond Mearns and the circuits brightest rising star Jin Hao Li. Best known for appearances on Scot Squad and as viral sensation the Other Murray Brother, Liam Withnail hosts.

Performer Bios:

Jayde Adams
Jayde Adams is a writer, actress, singer, producer and a multiple award-winning comedian. As an actress Jayde is best known for starring in the ITV sitcom “Ruby Speaking” (2023) and playing ‘Leanne’ in the BAFTA-winning BBC comedy-drama series, “Alma’s Not Normal” (2021-2024).

Jayde Adams received the Edinburgh Fringe Best Newcomer award in 2016 and the Funny Women Award for Best Female Comedy Performance in the same year. Recognized by Dawn French as the “3rd funniest woman in the world,” her Amazon Prime Special, “Serious Black Jumper,” garnered over 200 million views and received an Emmy long-listing in 2021.

Other acting credits include roles in “Borderline” (2016), “Sicknote” (2017), “Good Omens” (2019), “The Outlaws” (2020), and leading roles in “The Greatest Days” (2023), a musical film featuring Take That’s music, and “The Fence” (2021).

Desiree Burch
Desiree Burch is a comedian, writer, actor, theatre-maker and NY-to-London transplant. Desiree has quickly and firmly established herself as one of the breakout comic stars in the UK. She is the host and voice of Netflix’s smash reality hit, ‘Too Hot Too Handle’ and recently hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC 2).

Desiree exploded onto the UK comedy scene, winning the 2015 Funny Women Award. Since then, she has appeared on, ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC), ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC), ‘Qi’ (BBC), ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ (Channel 4), ‘Mock The Week’ (BBC2),’Insert Name Here’ (BBC2), ‘Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2). and co-hosted Netflix series, “Flinch”. Desiree recorded her critically acclaimed, debut Edinburgh festival show, ‘This Is Evolution” as a TV special for, ‘Live From The BBC ‘(BBC3) and has recorded a 2nd stand up special for Comedy Central. Her recent Edinburgh hour, ‘Unfuckable’ was a sold out hit at The Edinburgh Fringe and went onto two fantastic, sold out runs at The Soho Theatre. She also travelled to Just For Laughs in Montreal and recorded a set for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network in 2018.

Raymond Mearns
Seen on “Limmy’s show” and as listened to on BBC Radio Scotland’s “Breaking the News” – Raymond Mearns is consistently one of the top live stand-up comedians in Scotland for the past 15 years.

Raymond’s continues to have the considerable ability to keep his stand-up fresh, relevant and most of all extremely funny. Described by Frankie Boyle as ‘a genuine improvisational genius’, Raymond can be seen regularly performing at venues across the UK and frequently on the International Circuit.

Jin Hao Li
Jin Hao Li is a rising star of the UK comedy scene comedian and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards at the Fringe in 2024. As an accomplished comedian, writer and actor he has quickly become one to watch gaining recognition as a Chortle Student Finalist and BBC New Comedy Award Finalist. Jin Hao has toured the UK performing support for the likes of Ceyla AB, Olga Koch and Tom Stade.

Liam Withnail
Liam has over 10million TikTok/Instagram views and hosts popular podcast Enjoy an Album, alongside Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, which was nominated for Best Podcast at the Chortle Awards 2024. He is also a regular guest on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News and has also been heard on The Good, The Bad and The Unexpected, seen on Socially Distant with Susan Calman and has written on Scot Squad.

His 2023 Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Chronic Boom’ was a sellout success and received widespread critical acclaim, racking up sixteen 4 and 5 star reviews including from The Independent and The Times, making it one of the best reviewed comedy shows of 2023. He has also performed at comedy clubs and festivals all over the UK and in Canada, Japan, Iceland and Australia.
